A rich and high-quality book not only enhances knowledge but also cultivates personal character. With this in mind, the PTA collaborates with the school's reading team to organise the annual "Books Bring Joy" book exchange activity.
This activity follows a concept similar to "bookcrossing"* where students can explore and appreciate different types of excellent books. The aim is to promote a reading culture, encourage sharing and passing down good books, and give books new life, fostering a spirit of "sharing joy is better than enjoying it alone."
"Bookcrossing" originated in Europe several decades ago. When people finish reading a good book and sincerely desire to pass on the knowledge within, they place the book in a public location for others to read freely. The person who picks up the book then repeats the process, drifting the book once more. In this way, the life of the book continues to be extended through the act of gifting.
