We take pride in our innovative, student-centred teaching methods that promote holistic development and academic excellence. All teachers undergo school-based professional training to ensure the effective implementation of these core teaching strategies of FSSAS, the BCDEFS.

Backward Design

Starting with the end goals in mind, our educators carefully plan and design lessons by identifying desired learning outcomes, then develop engaging activities and assessments that facilitate students' understanding and mastery of the subject matter.

Collaborative Learning

We believe in the power of collaboration and encourage students to work together in diverse groups. Through collaborative learning, students develop essential social and communication skills while gaining a deeper understanding of the subject matter through shared perspectives and knowledge exchange.

Differentiation

We use differentiation tactics to customise instruction and assistance for individual students, acknowledging that every student has distinct learning needs and talents. In an effort to ensure that every student can reach their full potential, our teachers modify their approaches, resources, and evaluation procedures to suit a variety of learning styles.

E-Learning

Embracing technological advancements, we integrate e-learning into our instructional strategies. By utilising digital resources, interactive platforms, and online tools, students can engage in self-paced and collaborative learning, resulting in increased effectiveness and enriched learning experiences.

Formative Assessment

Is used as a continuous feedback tool to monitor student progress and guide instruction. Regular assessments, both formal and informal, help us identify students' strengths and areas for improvement, allowing us to provide targeted support and personalised learning experiences.

Self-Directed Learning

By encouraging students to take charge of their education, we cultivate a culture of self-directed learning. We facilitate essential habits and abilities, including goal-setting, time management, note-taking, self-reflection, and a growth mindset, for students. By fostering their capacity to become self-directed learners, we equip students for success both within and outside the classroom.

At FSSAS, we are committed to creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that nurtures the whole child. Through these teaching approaches, we strive to inspire a love for learning, foster critical thinking, and equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in the 21st century.
