Our school is committed to nurturing leaders with self-management and leadership skills. We aim to establish students' self-management abilities in the junior grades and enhance their team management experience in the senior grades.

School Leaders

Student leaders play an important role on campus. They acquire skills in team management, mediation, and problem-solving while working collaboratively with their teammates. They strive to provide support to fellow students and assist them in overcoming various challenges encountered in their campus lives.

Big Brothers and Big Sisters (BBS)

As part of the school's "Big Brothers and Big Sisters (BBS)" programme, older students are trained to assist new first-graders in adapting to campus life by holding frequent meetings and training sessions.

My School, My Home, My Responsibilities

The "My School, My Home, My Responsibility" activity aims to cultivate students' leadership skills and sense of responsibility, allowing them to unleash their potential and creativity. This activity empowers students to take charge at school as they would at home, where they can put forward suggestions, plan, and lead relevant activities. For example, in the "FSSAS Junior Teachers" activity, selected students will have the opportunity to teach interesting knowledge within the classrooms.

Leadership Training Camp

The school often cultivates students' leadership abilities through leadership training camps, where students are provided with professional guidance and practical experiences. For instance, all Primary 5 students are required to participate in "Endeavour Camp,"  where students learn to face failures, embrace challenges, and build self-confidence through adventurous training activities.

Respect and Care for the Elderly

All students in Primary 4 take part in the subject-integrated learning project "Respect and Care for the Elderly" each year. Through this learning, students experience the struggles of the elderly while also learning about the valuable contributions they make to their families and society. They worked hard to design a range of activities and make handicrafts that would cheer and comfort the elderly.

Uniform Teams and Leadship Organisations

The school also offers a range of uniform teams and leadership organisations for students to participate in, aiming to cultivate leadership skills and a spirit of service. These include Brownie, Cub Scouts, Flag Raising Team, Red Cross, School Bus Leaders, Green Ambassadors, Sports Team Leaders, Student Council, and more.
