A strong emphasis is placed on celebrations in FSSAS in an effort to uphold Chinese customs, encouraging intercultural dialogue, and cultivating a love of the arts. It establishes a setting where teachers and students can interact and have fun and enhance their learning experience. Following the motto, "one minute on stage, ten years of hard work off stage," the school pushes students to put in an immense amount of preparation for their performances in order to cultivate perseverance and showcase their talents.
